Get ready to suffer. Mtn Charlie Road on the Los Gatos side isn't all that bad, with a section of 15 percent, then it eases up on the way to Summit Road and Hwy 17. A nice diversion in Los Gatos is Hernandez Avenue, west of downtown. Climb Pennsylvania Avenue. The road picks up Ridgecrest to Saratoga-Los Gatos Rd. (February 20, 2010) Page Mill Road at Skyline Blvd. You may ask, why does Page Mill Rd. change name to Alpine Road? It doesn't. Page Mill Road was abandoned on the ocean side, but it's still there and may one day be open to the public as an MROSD trail, but not in my lifetime. (February 14, 2010)
Fish Ladder at Arastradero and Alpine roads. Steel-head trout in Los Trancos Creek like it and so will Stanford golfers. Improved water flow benefits Felt Lake, whose water goes to the golf course and Stanford grounds. (February 7, 2010) Return to Riding. Not exactly an easy ride through Rancho San Antonio Park, Chamise Trail to Mora Drive offers a 17 percent grade. (January 23, 2010)
